We understand the process of obtaining medical qualifications can be complex, especially for those trained abroad. As such, we want to ensure you have all the information you need regarding the requirements for Foreign Medical Graduates (FMGs) seeking to practise in India.
To be eligible, FMGs must have completed the following:
1. A medical degree with a minimum duration of 54 months (4.5 years) from a foreign institution.
2. A 12-month internship from the same foreign institution where the medical degree was obtained.
3. The medium of instruction for the medical course must have been English.
4. The curriculum should be equivalent to the Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) program in India, covering all essential subjects such as Community Medicine, General Medicine, Psychiatry, Pediatrics, General Surgery, and others.
We encourage you to review these criteria carefully and ensure you meet all the necessary qualifications before applying. Should you have any further questions or require assistance, please don't hesitate to reach out to our team.
