Established in 1991, Sri Hasanamba Dental College and Hospital has grown to become one of the highly regarded institutions in the Malnad District in Karnataka. It was set up by Sri Channe Gowda under the umbrella of Sri Hasanamba Education Trust as this dental college was founded on the basis of fulfilling the existing vacuum of institutions for higher education in the medical, dental and allied technical areas available in the regional geography. This college is linked to Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Karanataka and has also been approved by the Dental council of India Government of the state as well as Government of India.

Sri Hasanamba Dental College and Hospital is situated in the beautiful city of Hassan which is the center of the Malnad region and provides a host of dental education programs. It offers a 4 year Bachelor of Dental Surgery (B.D.S) course and a 3 year Master of Dental Surgery (M.D.S) program for both undergraduate and postgraduate students. Since 2009, the college has also branched out to offer postdoctoral courses in various specialties further strengthening its stature as a center of excellence in dental education.

Sri Hasanamba Dental College and Hospital has developed its campus in such a way as to ensure that high standards of dental education as well as patient care. It has a medically and clinically integrated pre-clinical block which includes laboratories, pre-clinical divisions, a dissection space, an exhibition, and seminar rooms. The college has a large and spacious library with good computer services that include broadband internet and HELINET facility. Furthermore, there are facilities for male and female students separately and separately for those who are pursuing their academics so they feel at ease while studying.
