Government Medical College Manjeri is the sixth government medical college in the state of Kerala situated in Manjeri,Malappuram District. The institution was started in 2013 and was officially opened by The then Kerala Chief Minister Oommen Chandy on 1 September, 2013. The college is affiliated to Kerala University of Health Sciences and approved by National Medical Commission.

The college has come a long way from its humble beginning and is now located on a large piece of land measuring approximately 26.51 acres with a well-developed infrastructure. It also provides Key facilities including:

Lecture and Demonstration Halls: Modernized with relevant technology.

Hostel Facilities: Dormitories that are gender segregated.

Central Library: Contains books such as text books, atlases, dictionaries, encyclopedias, technical reports as well as e-library and departmental libraries.

Sports Facilities: Provision for indoor and outdoor games and sports.

Hospital and clinical services

The medical college is affiliated with a 500 plus bedded tertiary care hospital which is equipped to deal with emergency and trauma services, eye bank, and blood bank services on a 24/7 basis.
