Dr. Ahmed was a dentist of vision – he opened a college in a European style when this culture was not yet fully developed in India. Dr. R. Ahmed Dental College and Hospital now has two campuses i.e. New Campus, Old Campus with the modern facilities. The Indian Dental Journal was started by Dr Ahmed and was edited by him until 1946. This was also the start of the institution”s devotion to the improvement of dentistry.
